Consumers needing to make informed long term care decision do have a place to turn for help. The need to transition to long term care is a difficult subject to raise.  AHCA/NCAL and IHCA ICAL have resources that can help.

Consumers needing to make informed long term care decision do have a place to turn for help. The need to transition to long term care is a difficult subject to raise. To help get the message out about the “Need to Plan,” AHCA and NCAL offer a series of pamphlets, such as Paying for Long Term Care or Having the Conversation about LTC, and Choosing an Assisted Living Residence: A Consumer Guide that are free to consumers and can be viewed and printed at the AHCA consumer website, www.LongTermCareLiving.com. A consumer can request a single printed copy of any publication by calling, toll free, 800.628.8140. Multiple copies can be purchased from the AHCA/NCAL Bookstore. Please be sure to promote this valuable resource within your community.

Links to these materials and other consumer resources are also available on the IHCA ICAL website at www.iowahealthcare.org under the purple Consumers tab.
